Questions coaches ask
Is it really free?
Yes. Teams, rosters, assistant coaches, score entry, imports, practices, meets and each shooter's rounds are free, with no time limit. Only the team and shooter stats of the Coach plan are paid.
What does the Coach plan cost?
$29.99 a month, or $149.99 a year (about $12.49 a month). It adds the team dashboard stats, team weak spots and each shooter's score and target stats.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your Account page on this website. You keep the Coach plan until the end of the period you paid for, and everything free stays.
Do my shooters need the app or an account?
No. You can add a shooter by name and enter their scores yourself. Shooters you add with an email get an invite, and the rounds they log and share in the free ClaysBuddy app show up for you.
What about parents?
There are no separate parent accounts. The invite goes to the email you enter, so for a young shooter you can use a parent's email.
Can I import from a spreadsheet or HotClays?
From a spreadsheet, yes: save it as CSV (Excel works) and use the template on the import page. Rosters need an email per shooter. Scores need email, date, sport, hits and total columns, and match shooters on your roster. There is no direct HotClays import.
Can I add assistant coaches?
Yes. Invite them by email to a team. They can add their own shooters and help run the team. Only you can manage coaches or delete the team.
Can I score several fields at once?
You enter a whole squad in one form: one discipline and date, with each shooter's hits. Squads on different fields or events are entered one form each.
